Welcome to the 2015 Flag Football Season! We are part of the Wellington Lombardi Division.  We just had our coaches meeting last night and I wanted to introduce Coach Dan and myself, Coach Ron and let you know about some upcoming dates and other house-keeping items.

October 17th – All Day Dick’s Sporting Goods As part of our sponsorship with Dick's Sporting Goods, we are offering a special Dick's Sporting Goods Discount Day on Saturday, October 17th (this Saturday).  All NFF families will receive 20% off their entire purchase.  This is a great time to pick up water bottles or cleats for the season along with any other great gear, clothing & equipment you had your eye on!  You must present the coupon at checkout and this is only valid in-store!

October 18th – 12:30 – 1:00 This is our meet and greet.

Palm Beach Central High School – 8499 Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington FL 33411 – Field 2

At this time, we will:

1. Distribute the jerseys (have to say they are pretty nice).
2. Size the flag belt.
3. Discuss the rules of the league.
4. Discuss the coaching philosophy and what we want the players to get out of the season. Fun for both parents and players is the number 1 objective.
5. Distribute any other items that you may have purchased previously.  

October 18th – 1:00 – 2:00 First Practice!

Palm Beach Central High School – 8499 Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington FL 33411 – Field 2  

Player Attire – please be sure to read carefully.  Any violations, the child is may not be allowed to play (especially #2, 8 and 9)

1. Players are designated as home or away based on the schedule. The away team will wear the white side of the jersey and the home team will wear the colored side.
2. Players are required to wear protective mouthpieces at all times during both games and practices.
3. The belts that hold the flags (not the flags themselves) must be secured to ensure they do not hang appearing to be a flag. If the belt is hanging, flag guarding may be called.
4. Players must wear the official NFL jersey provided by the league for games. If a player arrives at the game without his/her jersey, he/she may not be permitted to play.
5. Jerseys must be tucked in at all times. If a jersey is hanging out, flag guarding may be called.
6. All players must start with their mouth pieces in, jerseys tucked in, flag belts on, and flags properly secured at the hips of each player.
7. Molded and screw-in cleats are permitted. No metal cleats are allowed.
8. No jewelry is permitted during the games.
9. Shorts and pants cannot have open pockets
