The James F. Hannam, Jr, Memorial Award is presented by the Sparta Soccer Club to the players who consistently exhibit the qualities of the sport that Jim exemplified. Those qualities include but are not limited to:

¨   Willingness to Learn

¨   Reliability

¨   Team and School Spirit

¨   And Sportsmanship

Recipients demonstrate all of those qualities and more. Although playing skills are not part of the criteria for this award most  are also excellent players. Recipients are also the kind of players who know how to reach within and find just a little bit more to give when called for by a situation. They are players who possess the ability to inspire players around them to play just a little harder.

Winners of this award truly represent James F. Hannam and the ideals of the Sparta Soccer Club. They are people that those around them can look up to for a fine example.
