Sparta Soccer Club Town / Recreational Program Philosophy:  It is the intention of the Sparta Soccer Club to provide the children of Sparta the opportunity to not only learn the game of soccer, but to learn the value of good sportsmanship and healthy competition. We encourage each player to strive to play their best, but also want them to learn that their success is not measured solely by wins and losses.

Our Fall 2025 season games (are tentatively scheduled -start may vary according to field conditions) for  Sept 13- Nov 8. Once teams are formed, coaches will notify you with your practice time, which will begin a week or so prior to first games (Practice times do not apply for Kindergarten and Pre-K, they only meet on Saturday game days). We continue to follow school grades for our Town Recreational program as we feel it's fun for players to play with their school grade. (Travel follows calendar birth year)

Note: There are separate boys' and girls' divisions in each age group except 6th/7th & 8th Grade which is Co-ed. Cut off dates are 10/1 thru 9/30. If you have difficulty registering for your child's grade, please email [email protected] and we can add the grade program to your shopping cart

Pre-K – 4 years old by 9/30/25 (will not be in Kindergarten until Fall 2026)

$10 Late fee will be charged 8/4/25. Registration will close 8/18/25. This is necessary to allow time for volunteers to finalize everything necessary for the season.

Town League program is open to Sparta Residents only.

 For the players in Division's 678-Coed, 345-Boys & 345-Girls all players wear our traditional SSC reversible jersey. Reversible jersey is $25. Same style jersey as worn the last several years, if you have that, or any version, you do not need to purchase a new one. (you order during the registration process)  We will be using Navy/white jersey this season. However if you have the older navy/light blue style w e feel it will still be okay to have both styles on the same team as the contrast will be fine for both light blue or white and navy. Over time we will transition to all navy/ white version. New reversible orders this season will be filled with the new version. (coaches will have pre-ordered jerseys at season beginning)

For Pre K, Kindergarten and 1st & 2nd grade Divisions Team T-shirts are provided at NO extra cost . Shin guards are mandatory for ALL players; cleats are recommended but optional. Players may wear any shorts / socks (over shin guards) and may layer on cold days.
